Adaptor hoists offer a versatile lifting means with a variety of rotating and pivot-able adaptors for both top and bottom locations. The adaptors can be interchanged to suit your lifting application.
Designed for maximum flexibility these hoists can be used cross-hauling/fleeting without the need for any de-ration of the stated safe working load.
We have a chain block adaptor hoist and an adaptor lever hoist available both with up to 10 tonne WLL.
These adaptor hoists are based on the trusted Tiger PROLH lever hoist and Tiger PROCB chain block. The top suspension hook is swapped out for the adaptor of your choosing, the same goes for the bottom block.
The knuckle design and clevis adaptors means that the adaptor can be quickly swapped at any time. The added benefit of the 360 degree rotation together with the 180 degree pivot means that the adaptor will automatically move into position according to the pulling direction. A 4:1 safety factor is maintained across all angles.
Additional overload protection is available on request.
All of the hoist adaptor fittings conform to EN1677, they are in Tiger grade 100, tempered at 400 degrees.
The drop forged clevis adaptor is utilised in the top suspension location as well as the bottom loading location, thus each fitting can be used in either location.
The advantage of this is that you can have the same fitting top and bottom or different, depending on your requirements.
There are four key clevis fittings to choose from which are a clevis shackle, self locking safety hook, sling hook and a reevable egg masterlink.
The main unit used in the chain block adaptor hoist is the Tiger PROCB which has numerous features including a quad cam pawl set up for exceptional safety. Please bear in mind that the standard model has top capacities of 35 tonne but only up to 10 tonne is available in the adaptor hoist set up.
The adaptor ratchet lever hoist main body is the Tiger PROLH and just like its chain block counter part it has a quad pawl system as well as a free wheeling mode and high brake efficiency. Worth noting is the standard lever hoist unit has a maximum SWL of 20 tonne, however you can only have a maximum 10 tonne with the adaptor models.
