This manual subsea chain hoist – SSC4 is made in the UK by William Hackett and can handle loads up to 50,000kg. With corrosion resistant components and quad pawls for optimum safety this subsea chain block can be relied upon for marine, subsea and offshore environments.
Because this subsea chain hoist can be used under water for a single 21 day immersion period or for 31 days for multiple immersions the Hacketts SSC4 is ideal for use in a wide range of areas. Not only used by marine and off shore industries the subsea chain block SSC4 is also ideal for water treatment tasks or other wet environments, oil and gas and other utilities that need additional corrosion protection.
Vertical lifting is the standard mode for these chain blocks just like most others, however the SSC4 has been fully tested and verified to be used in cross haul and fleeting operations. These methods can be accomplished safely with up to 45 degree angles, with the added bonus of not needing to reduce the WLL.
These hoists have light load capabilities and have been tested to 2% of the stated WLL.
The quad pawl design is one of the hoists key features with great benefits. Offering enhanced resilience to failure and finer tolerance adjustments. This system has been fully endurance tested to twice the norm.
When it comes to corrosion protection all key parts are corrosion protected including all brake components, such as pinion shaft, gears, pawls and stands and more as well as stay bolts, chain guides and strippers.
Stainless steel fixings are used throughout for optimum protection.
A triple layer marine paint system is used offering 7-15 years of protection for the painted areas.
High performance grease is used throughout for further protection.
The subsea chain hoist hooks come complete with safety latches and as an added bonus there are overload indicators on each hook so its easy to see if the hoist has been overloaded.
