Straightpoint was the first company to supply an electronic force measurement device which was both reliable and robust to the lifting gear market. This allowed them to quickly become the world leader in the supply and manufacture of the electronic force calculation devices often known as loadlinks, load cells & dynamometers; which are now sold globally reaching all corners of the lifting market. First founded in 1978 by an Oxford engineering graduate, Straightpoint has been within the market for a number of years and now has facilities in both the UK and the USA. Their UK headquarters have recently been expanded and can now boast their 350 tonne calibration and universal test machine which is the first of its kind in Europe. As a company they are continually looking to develop new and innovative products which were not available on the market and supply to a range of different industries around the globe such as the construction industry, mining and transport. They can be used in the harshest conditions due to them being impervious, and can be left in situ alongside any other equipment.
