About the Subsea Shackle Load Cell This particular subsea shackle load cell h..
Shackle load cells are essentially a lifting shackle and a tension load cell combined. The innovative design reduces the often much needed headroom and provides a strong connection. The stainless steel shackle pin is where the technology is and can measure the weight and forces applied by the attached load.
Simple to use with easily obtained data with a handy display unit. They may be wired or wireless; with the latter you can even send the data directly to your computer with the optional telemetry dongle (get in touch for details).
There are a number of different types of shackle load cells which can suit differing applications. Lifting Gear Direct can supply a standard shackle load cell with capacities up to 500 tonnes depending on the model. Further to the vast capacity range you can also choose between a wired or a wireless version.
For use in the subsea environment we have a couple of options, firstly the standard subsea shackle load cell which is a wired option suitable for depths up to 20 metres, these also have a maximum 500 tonne capacity.
The second sub sea option is the acoustic shackle load cell which incorporates a mounting bracket for an acoustic beacon. These are suitable for depths up to 1500 metres with a top 300 tonne capacity.
All suited to fit Crosby and GN shackles.
You can fond out more details and technical data in on the product pages above.
If a shackle load cell is not right for your needs then you may wish to consider a standard tension load cell or perhaps a crane scale from our extensive range. Both types are able to measure weights and forces applied by the attached load.
Other options for weighing larger loads include a pallet truck complete with weighing scale which also help with your load moving needs.
