Using a scissoring technique, (first one side then the other) one person can erect the smaller models though two people are recommended. Assembly takes just a few minutes using a locking pin system to secure the parts in place. Pins are also used to easily adjust the height of the gantry to better suit your lifting operation.

The most popular option is the adjusting parking jacks which can be an added bonus on un-even surfaces, which is often the case when using outdoors. The jacks can be individually adjusted up to 250mm to suit the ground levels.
We also offer an optional ratchet adjuster, which fits to the side frames and aids the adjustment of the gantry’s height. These winches are great if frequent height adjustments are needed or if a single person is carrying out the procedure.
Other options include a range of cheek plates which can either aid in span adjustment OR provide a shackle connection point for adding additional devices such as a chain block, to help to control the trolley movement.
Finally there is a winch conversion kit enabling the addition of a sheave carrier to convert the gantry to winched use for goods or personnel.
Our porta gantry systems are suitable for use in fall protection operations. When used in this genre, models up to 1000kg are suitable for up to 3 users. The larger models can be used with up to 5 people. You should bear in mind that the stated safe working load is reduced by half when used as a personnel fall prevention aid. For example for a 3000kg model you can lift loads up to this maximum 3000kg, BUT for fall prevention the maximum is 1500kg.
Lockable castors come as standard in order to securely position the gantry where required.
