These larger plate dogs are ideal for lifting multiple sheets of steel. They can pick up pack or plate thickness up to 400mm and lift up to 6 tonnes.
Made to order from high quality steel and come complete with the lifting chains and connectors. If you are going to lift large sheets which may be prone to bowing/sagging during the lifting operation then a set of our end dogs can help. These can be positioned at intervals where the sagging would occur to alleviate the problem.
As with all our lifting dogs, it is the weight and forces applied whilst lifting which hold the dogs and therefore sheets in place.
Should you require lifting / spreader beams for your application we manufacture custom made products to work in union with our plate lifting dogs. Again, all are clearly marked with unique S/No and safe working loads.
Besides our lifting dogs we can supply other types of plate lifting gear. A magnetic lifter works on ferro-magnetic materials like steel, they are easy to use by one person and offer a permanent connection providing the surface of the steel is free of any impurities i.e. dust and grease. There are battery magnets available too for heavier load lifting.
Plate lifting clamps are another option to consider. They come in a variety of forms to handle the sheet material in different ways such as horizontally or vertically.
