About the Yale 360 Arctic Chain Block

These arctic lifting hoists are ideal for use in countries with colder climates and perhaps other situations when the temperature drops to extreme levels.

The majority of standard chain blocks can only be used in temperatures down to -10C, although there are a few which can handle -20C. In extreme conditions this will probably not suffice, thus Yale designed a chain block that can withstand temperatures down to an extreme, subzero -40 without any issues.

Key components have been swapped out and different types of lubricants are used to ensure the sub zero temperatures do not hinder the hoist.

The hoist has been rigorously tested using various procedures both static and dynamic. Function, endurance, impact and load tests have all been extensively checked and certification is available.

Uses of the Arctic Chain Block

As mentioned above these utility hoists are great in colder countries such as Greenland, Iceland, Finland and other Northern countries. They can also be used for tasks in mountain areas where the temperatures can really drop as you near the peak. Obviously these arctic hoists can be used for lifting tasks in normal conditions too.

Maintenance tasks, construction work, pipelines, oil exploration and more are all common areas of use for this hoist.

In our Utility hoists category you will also find an arctic edition lever hoist as well as a host of other types of utility hoists.
