The rescue & work winch has a 20 metre descent. They work together with the Kratos confined space and rescue tripod thanks to the special fixing device.

The dual use of this winch makes it particularly useful; it can be used for descending or ascending personnel and also includes rescue operations or lifting and lowering materials / equipment so it can be a really useful and cost effective piece of kit when used in conjunction with the tripod.

About the Rescue & Work Winch

When attached by its bolting fixture to the leg of the rescue tripod these winches can be used to lift or lower either personnel or materials into confined spaced and have a safe working load of 135kg for personnel  and a maximum material load of 250kg.

 The winch uses a 6mm diameter steel wire rope which has been galvanised for protection and longevity.

The winch should be used with a retractable fall arrester when used for raising or lowering personnel.

The rescue winch is fitted with a secondary braking system which will automatically stop the wire rope once the crank handle is released. The tools required for attaching the winch to the tripod are included for easiness.

The winch conforms to all the necessary standards; the machinery directive 2006/42/EC;  class A; EN13157:2004,
