When you have the need to connect two or more hydraulic cylinders then you will need a special hydraulic manifold in order to do this. They help to regulate the hydraulic fluid and controlling the power between components. We have a number of models available to enable the connection of different multiples of hydraulic equipment. We also supply hoses, couplers and gauges should you require them.
A hydraulic manifold is a device which is used to connect more than one hydraulic cylinder needs connecting to one pump. Some hydraulic manifolds incorporate shut off valves and sometimes pressure gauges to vary and check each cylinders pressure.
A manifold regulates the hydraulic fluid flow to control power transfers between actuators and pumps for example.
A manifold with different valves enables the combination of different functions into one manifold, think of it like a circuit board; each valve controls the flow of hydraulic fluid through that valve and essentially each valve can be set up differently.
Manifolds are essential for hydraulic equipment which use multiple hydraulic parts; for example where a large structure needs raising, such as a bridge hydraulic cylinders can be placed under each support and connected to the manifold where the pressure for each one can be adjusted until the bridge is raised and levelled at the same time.
Lifting Gear Direct can supply a range of hydraulic manifolds to compliment other hydraulic products from our range. Hoses, couplers and gauges are also available separately.
Manifolds are commonly used in applications using hydraulic equipment like farm machinery, construction equipment or material handling equipment and many more.
Our manifold range includes 4 models with a different number of ports; there is a 2 port manifold; 3 port manifold; 4 port manifold and a 6 port manifold. Each model can be used with one pump. The 2 and 4 port models are rectangular in shape and the 3 and 6 port models are round and hexagonal respectively.
