About the double sheave block with safety hook

This sheave block has 2 grey iron plain bore sheaves with a body made from malleable iron with a galvanised finish.

This one is fitted with a safety hook with catch. We have a double block with an eye available too.

For use with fibre rope or wire rope which we can supply in any diameter to suit your sheave block. Also available with steel sheaves with oil retaining sintered bronze bush or ball bearing for use with wire rope.

MBL (minimum breaking load) = 5 x WLL - proof load tested, certification available on request.

Sheave blocks are used in a variety of rigging set ups to increase pulling power, this should be done in a safe way, refer to a suitable sheave block technique guide like the one below.

Please ensure you check the specification before ordering any rope, or check it will work safely with your existing rope. The correct rope diameter is crucial.
