Perfect for subsea applications the Acoustic load cell shackle is adapted to hold an acoustic beacon. Up to 300 tonne loads can be handles at up to 1500 metre depths.
This specially designed load weighing shackle uses an acoustic beacon to transmit data to a PAM unit on the surface (NOT included as standard but can be supplied on request).
There is a digital amplifier within the shackle pin head which records the load data from the strain gauges. The amplifier uses subsea cable connectors to connect to the acoustic beacon which subsequently sends the signal top side.
This shackle load cell set up is typically used for subsea mooring, cable laying and/or grapnel run applications.
The rechargeable battery is a lithium ion long life type with an estimated life of 72000 samples or 2 months (whichever is sooner).
Supplied with calibration certificates as well as proof load and test certification to UKCA BS EN ISO 7500-1 2018.
