How The Star Liftket Low Headroom Hoist Works

With the Star Liftket low headroom electric hoist system the special suspension enables the hoist to be fitted at an inverted angle to the first of two trolleys which are required for this system. The load chain still comes out the bottom of the hoist however it then passes over two chain sprockets to the vertical load hook. The second, powered trolley is positioned above the hook block in order to traverse the hoist across the beam to which it is fitted.

It is the special positioning of the main hoist unit which gives the additional height of lift which is often required in height limited areas.

About the Power pack Ultra Low Headroom Liftket Hoist

The power pack electric hoist from Liftket boasts ultra low headroom by utilizing two hoists to enable the maximum possible height of lift. The twin hoists also prevents chain twisting scenarios.

Boasting a strong steel construction with a forged load hook and minimal distance to the end stop. There will be less wear to the chain thanks to there being only one deflection. Radio control, synchronised control and gear limit switches are other options available. The hoists boast low voltage, gear limit switch and up to 6m/min lifting speeds. How the Ultra Low Headroom Hoist Works

With just 180mm of headroom and up to a 4 tonne lifting capacity this twin chain hoist set up could be ideal for any area with low ceiling heights. A special power pack control panel is used to operate both hoists in tandem.

As you can see from the images, the main hoist body sits above the lower beam flange on the trolley. The two chain falls come down from each hoist and connect to a chain sprocket within a yoke system. It is to this yoke system where the load hook is fitted. When operated the two hoists will lift and lower the complete yoke system together with the hook and attached load.

This special design will give you the maximum height of lift from a single beam in a low height workspace.
